Mrs Bazalgette Road Race, 1900

We have been contacted by Keith Rookledge asking if we know anything about the following:

In 1900 a Mrs. Bazalgette participated in a 100o mile road trial in Britain. I have a copy of this photo, happy to send it to you if you do not have it.

I am, however unsure if she was in fact a ''Mrs' Bazalgette. Sir Joseph had daughters, but as far as I can see it could only one or two of them could have been involved, in that case the lady would have been Miss Bazalgette. She purchased her Benz from Hewetsons in Soho.

In case anyone else was curious, the intrepid lady motorist was Louise Seville, wife of George Bazalgette the marine.
